Start Up the Week
We need to focus on walking in love toward one another. It saddens me to see the strife that is commonplace among Christians. The enemy seems to be working overtime stirring up opportunities for us to walk in strife. We must choose to walk the higher path of love. In First Corinthians 13:4–8, we get a clear picture of love. I want to encourage you to read this passage in several different translations this week. I like what it says in The Message Bible:
“Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always ‘me first,’ Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end. Love never dies.”
You see, love never gives up! Don’t ever give up on the dreams and desires God has placed on the inside of you. Continue to walk in love and you will see great things happen in your life.
